About Us
About the Good as Gold Family
Good as Gold was founded by Nancy Hatch over 25 years ago. Her goal was to help improve the health and longevity of the breed. After years of researching Golden Retriever genetics, health issues and common diseases that can afflict the Golden, Nancy has bred dogs that tend to live long and happy lives. The Good as Gold mascot is a dog named Beamer. Beamer lived a rich and full life as a service dog, a mother, a conformation champion, an agility dog and rally obedience star. Beamer passed away at the ripe old age of 16 years and 7 months!
Today's Goldens are direct descendants of Beamer.
